Profile: Late Sri C.V.L Sastry, Chairman, Sastry Group of Companies

Mr. C.V.L Sastry, a well known personality in Karnataka was the Chairman of the Sastry Group of Companies. He was the President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for three consecutive terms. From his humble beginning, Mr. C V L Sastry started the Sastry Group Of Companies, to form organised layout designs in the city of Bangalore. He envisioned a growth so profilic that, it changed the face of realty in Bangalore.

He has produced several Kannada films including award winning films like "Malaya Marutha" and "Aathanka".
He was the Executive Producer of Popular T.V. serial Malgudi Days.
He was associated with several Social, Educational and Sport Associations.
He was the recipient of several awards including the Rajyothsava Award, given by the Govt. Karnataka for his outstanding contribution to the society, the Dada Saheb Phalke Academy award for "Legendary Film Producer" to name a few.

Recently, Mr.C.V.L SASTRY was honoured by the Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce for his valuable contribution to the Kannada Film Industry by the honourable Chief Minister Mr. B.S. Yediyurappa.
